Fiancee Visa |
|
|
Designed with the Filipina K1 Immigrant
in mind, it briefly explains what information is
requested for the United States
Immigration and
Naturalization Service (INS) and the US Embassy. Locate the
US Embassy or Consulate office in your fiancée's home country at
the links to United
States Embassies and Consulates Worldwide. Or look up your
country at the
Foreign Embassies of Washington DC web page.
To order INS forms, dial
1-800-870-3676 and request all forms for a
"Petition for Alien Fiancée". In addition, there are lists
of documents needed at each stage. The fees reflect the amount
paid at the time of acquisition.
Before you can apply for a fiancé visa you need to
personally meet the girl. Review all the requirements
before you come here and bring with you, normal ID, a copy
of your birth certificate and copies of any divorce records you
may have. The process takes between 3-12 months and is not
expensive. You can also marry the girl here and then
petition her to your country. In the past this has not always
been the best plan but rules are maybe changing and we will
update you when we can.
