This progressive town is located approximately 93 kilometers away from the provincial capital-Cebu City.  Alcoy is a 5th class municipality in the province of Cebu and dubbed as the largest dolomite quarry in the country.   In addition, it has a total land area of 6,285.075 hectares and is politically subdivided into 8 barangays.  Alcoy is principally an agricultural town with a population of 13,497 people according to 2000 census.

 
   
   
     
Tourist Attraction
  Siloy Festival  
      One of the most colorful and festive celebrations in the province of Cebu.  Siloy Festival is a must see event whilst having a trip in Alcoy.  It will definitely give you a day to remember.    
         
  Tingko Beach    
     

Is the most famous public beach in town.  Many locals and tourists alike frequently visit this beach because of its white sand and azure waters.  Tingko Beach is positioned in the peaceful barangay of Daan Lungsod.  It is a perfect place for beach bums and sun lovers.

   
         
  Nug-as Rainforest  
      Is the home of different species of birds, fruit bats and other unnamed living things.  This is the largest rainforest in Alcoy that has a priceless treasure of widespread flora and fauna    
         
  Diving Site (Alcoy)  
      Aside from the famous diving sites in the country, Alcoy is drawing attention to all divers of different levels and interests.  Alcoy’s diving site has superb wrecks, walls and wide array of various marine life.
