BARILI

 
 

Located approximately 60.2kms southwest of Cebu City with a total land area of 11, 518 hectares.  It is composed of 42 barangays wherein farming and livestock raising are the major occupations of the people.  Barili got its name from a local grass name called balili.  It was founded as a municipality in 1632 although the parish was already been established in 1614.  During 1602, Captain Juan Juarado, a Spanish ruler arrived in the place and planted a cross that is still existing nowadays.   The town fiesta is held on July 25-26 in honor of St. Anne, the town’s patron saint.

Mantayupan Falls

 
      One of most kept jewels in the Municipality of Barili.  This pristine waterfall in Brgy. Campangga is one of the tallest falls in Cebu.  The stunning views around the falls add a bewitching charm of the place.

A great tourist destination to cool-off during hot days.  Boloc-Boloc Spring is frequented by locals and tourists due to its clear waters and comforting ambiance.

Nestled beside unexplored caves.  Its azure and calm waters is ideal for water sports adventure such as skim boarding or snorkeling.

      A paradise that is located in Brgy. Paril and touted as one of the famous mountain resorts in town.

      Another astonishing church in the west coast of Cebu.    
  Hospicio de San Jose Barili  
      Is a facility for the aged poor person that was founded by Don Pedro Cui and his sister Doña Benigna.  The structural design of the edifice will give you an awe-inspiring view.
