This 4th class municipality in Cebu province is dubbed as the “Town of Golden Friendship”. The municipality is one of the major manufacturer and transshipment centers of livestock products in Southwestern Cebu, as it is the gateway to and from Southeastern portion of Negros Oriental. Dumanjug has 37 barangays and with a total population of 39,666 people (according to 2000 census). Its topography is described as moderately undulating/rolling lands. In addition, the town has an increasing number of business establishments such as bakery and welding shops. In fact, in the year 2002 it has 365 business establishments that operate in the municipality. |

Town Plaza |

| A nice place where young or old ones spend their leisure time. Its playground has seesaw, swings and slides, which is available for everybody who wishes to play and have a total enjoyment. Within the vicinity of the plaza are the small stores that sell affordable refreshments. | |||||||||||||||||||
St. Francis Assisi Church |

One of the most striking 19th century churches in Western Cebu. It was completed in 1864 wherein it was made of sea corals stone, limestone and Balayong (native black wood). The belfry to one side of the church has a dodecagonal plan which is typical in most colonial churches. |

| Aside from sports and other social functions, big department stores in the metropolitan area use this venue to hold bargain sales. Just recently, this Covered Court was named as Dona Josefa P. Garcia Sports Complex. | |||||||||||||||||||

| Don Dionisio Jakosalem Monument | |||||||||||||||||||
| This famous landmark in Dumanjug is situated at the heart of the town plaza. The person in the statue is better known as D. Jakosalem the first governor of Cebu and a resident of Dumanjug. Furthermore, to pay tribute to Don Dionisio Jakosalem, the longest street in the City of Cebu was named after him. | |||||||||||||||||||

| Formerly known as the old Municipal Hall of Dumanjug. This edifice was refurbished and was transformed into a world-class office building. All rooms in the New Executive building are air-conditioned. | |||||||||||||||||||
