TUBURAN |

The municipality got its name from the prevalence of springs that were used by early inhabitants as their source of potable water in their household use. Tuburan was founded in 1851 by Don Mariano Montebon who hailed from the Municipality of Sogod, Cebu. It was first located at Daan Lungsod that is just across from Adela River north of current Poblacion. Tuburan is about 96.7kms away from the Queen City of the South. |
