Kadaugan sa Mactan |

it commemorates the braveness of Lapu-Lapu against Ferdinand Magellan who wish to occupy the island of Mactan. This is a re-enactment of how Lapu-lapu and his men defeated their foes. This is portrayed in the month of April. The event is annually re-enacted at the beach of Barangay Mactan. This is one of the major events here in Cebu, where it attracts more tourists including the locals that really draw a crowd. |

It is a Spanish expression, which means Midnight Mass or translated as ‘Rooster’s Mass”.
