FOOD TYPES SERVED IN PHILIPPINE RESTAURANTS

No matter where you come from or what food you eat, it is surefire that it is available here in the Philippines.  That comes in a mouth-watering taste and reasonable prices!

PHILIPPINE CUISINE
is a mixture of different cuisines from its Malay roots to Hispanic influences.  The exotic taste buds of Chinese, Japanese, American, Arab and Indian cuisines, also influences Philippine cuisine.  The cuisine in the Philippines is renowned by its bold mixture of sweet, tart, salty and spicy taste, though most dishes are not that highly spiced.

CHINESE COUSINE
is a representative of China’s long history because as the dynasty changes a new recipe were also introduced.  Typically, in Chinese culture their meal should consist of two general components such as carbohydrates source and an accompanying dishes of meat, vegetables and fish.

AMERICAN CUISINE
is extremely diverse since United States is the melting pot of different nationalities and cultures.  Typical foods in American cuisine include a large variety of beef, pork and chicken dishes.  Furthermore, one of the most important characteristic of American cuisine is the fusion of multiple ethnic that approaches into new cooking styles.

MEXICAN CUISINE
varies by region because of the climate, geography and cultural differences by indigenous inhabitants.  Mexican food is popular for its intense combination of spices, colorful decorations and varied flavors.

FRENCH CUISINE
ingredients and dishes of French Cuisine varies by region.  It is also considered as the world’s most refined and elegant cuisine.  On the 20th century, Georges Augustes Escoffier codified French Cuisine to become the modern version of Haute Cuisine (which literally means high cuisine). 

JAPANESE CUISINE
most of Japanese foods are raw because Japanese people believe in keeping the balance and harmony of nature.  Japanese cuisine is also widely known throughout the world because of its highly skilled preparation methods and unique and sophisticated presentation.

ITALIAN CUISINE
it is described by some of its unique dishes like pizza, pasta and risotto. Nonetheless, regional differences may occur in the cooking process of the meal.  Coffee specifically espresso has become important to the cultural cuisine of Italy.

SPANISH CUISINE
is influenced by Celtic, Jewish and Moors.  In addition, seafoods also heavily influenced Spanish cuisine since Spain is surrounded with water.  Stews are the most common dish in Spanish cuisine.  In addition, Spanish cuisine relies on the different methods you can use in cooking the same dish.

GERMAN CUISINE
typically German Cuisine differs not just in regional aspect but as well as the culture and tradition.  When it comes to desserts, they usually used fresh fruits as one of the ingredients.   With the rising influx of foreign workers during WWII, many foreign dishes influenced German cuisine e.g. pizza and spaghetti from Italy become a staple of German cuisine.

KOREAN CUISINE
is very exotic because it is very rich in spices and herbs such as onions, ginger, red pepper, chili, garlic and sesame.  Generally, most Korean dishes are fermented and dried resulting in tangy, salty and spicy taste.

INDIAN CUISINE
is characterized by its refined use of numerous spices and herbs.  Though a large portion of Indian food is strictly vegetarian nonetheless many Indian traditional dishes includes chicken, lamb, goat, fish and other meats.

SEAFOOD
this is one of the most popular kind of foods being served in restaurants here in the Philippines. Restaurants that cater seafoods to their customers are guaranteed fresh.

SPECIALTY
