  Kadaugan sa Mactan
it commemorates the braveness of Lapu-Lapu against Ferdinand Magellan who wish to occupy the island of Mactan.  This is a re-enactment of how Lapu-lapu and his men defeated their foes. This is portrayed in the month of April. The event is annually re-enacted at the beach of Barangay Mactan. This is one of the major events here in Cebu, where it attracts more tourists including the locals that really draw a crowd.
  Mantawi Festival
According to folklore, Mantawi was a thick, clinging vine that grew plentifully in coastal areas where Mandaue got its name.  Mantawi Festival is the most anticipated festival of Mandauehanons.  It is the rediscovery of Mandaue’s rich cultural heritage. 
  Sinulog Festival

Finally, the most awaited event of the year is just around the corner. The Sinulog buzz is in the air as bazaars have finally lined up the streets and selling everybody’s favorite goods.
